Silo fumigation is an effective way to control a large variety of stored product pests with just one application of a fumigant. Also, fumigating large quantities of grain inside a silo at once can be an enormous time and cost saving measure compared to fumigating the same amount of product, but in smaller quantities, inside a number of different shipping containers.
It takes a considerable amount of experience and skill to effectively fumigate silos, because of their size and sealing challenges. Knowing how much gas to use relative to the outside temperature and how long to fumigate relative to ventilation can determine the success or failure of the fumigation process. And our pre-fumigation silo inspection is second to none. It identifies every area that needs to be addressed before fumigation begins.
